Drew has over 15 years of experience in the energy industry, mostly focused in the upstream space. Prior to founding Red Wolf, Drew served at the Vice President of Business Development for Ward Energy Partners. There he played key roles in the strategy, planning, execution, and monetization of multiple successful asset build-ups and exits within the DJ Basin (both midstream and upstream) and the SCOOP/STACK area of the Mid-Continent. Before serving in the business development role, Drew worked in various petroleum engineering roles for Ward Petroleum in Oklahoma. Prior to his time at Ward, Drew worked in operations and drilling engineering roles for SandRidge Energy in the Permian Basin, Windsor Energy in the Rockies and East Texas, and Devon Energy in the Rockies, Barnett Shale and Permian Basin. Drew holds a bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering and an M.B.A. in Energy from the University of Oklahoma. He is also a registered Professional Engineer in the state of Oklahoma.
Jeff has over 38 years of experience in the upstream and midstream oil and gas industry. Prior to founding Red Wolf, he held the role of VP of Operations and Engineering for Ward Energy Partners. While at Ward, Jeff was responsible for all aspects of drilling, completions, production and other field operations in both the SCOOP play in Oklahoma and the DJ Basin. Before joining Ward, he served as Senior Vice President at Chaparral Energy, where he led the engineering, land and geoscience teams for the Mid-Continent and Texas. Prior to Chaparral, Jeff worked as Chief Operating Officer for Windsor Energy, playing a key role in the growth and development of assets across the Mid-Continent, Colorado, North Dakota, Wyoming, and East Texas. Before his time at Chaparral, Jeff served as Senior Vice President at Twister Gas Services and overseeing the midstream, marketing, and exploration and production efforts in the Mid-Continent and Gulf Coast regions. He spent his early career working in various engineering roles at TXO, DLB Oil and Gas and Enserch. Jeff holds a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering from Louisiana Tech University.
Curtis has over 15 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. He served previously as CFO and VP of Corporate Development for Templar Energy (Le Norman Operating), where he was responsible for finance activities, including capital markets transactions, risk management and financial planning, as well as the accounting and treasury functions. While at Templar, he oversaw over $1.5 billion in acquisitions across the Western Anadarko Basin. Before Templar, he served in various roles of increasing responsibility with the Le Norman Operating management team, assisting in successfully building and exiting multiple upstream E&P companies. Curtis holds a B.S.B.A. in Accounting from John Carroll University and is a certified public accountant in Oklahoma.
Jay has over 18 years of experience in the upstream energy industry. Prior to joining Red Wolf as a co-founder, Jay served as the Vice President of Land for Ward Petroleum Corporation and Ward Energy Partners. There he implemented processes and procedures for the land department, organized the acquisition of 12,000 acres in southern STACK play, and prepared for monetization events while working extensively with the team on PSA negotiations. Prior to joining Ward, Jay worked for Continental Resources, Inc., as a Land Supervisor in the Southern Region (SCOOP and STACK) and Linn Energy, LLC, as a Land Advisor for an active drilling program in the TX Panhandle and Western Oklahoma. Jay holds a B.B.A. in Energy Management from the University of Oklahoma and is a certified professional landman with the American Association of Professional Landmen.
Kimberly Mitchell has 10+ years of experience in the upstream oil and gas industry with extensive reservoir engineering experience in the SCOOP and STACK plays in Oklahoma. Prior to founding Red Wolf, she was the senior reservoir engineer for Ward Energy Partners. There, she was a key member of the team and its successful development, execution, and monetization of the company’s SCOOP, STACK, and DJ assets. Before joining Ward, Kimberly served as the senior reservoir engineer at Continental Resources for their NW Cana and STACK assets. Kimberly began her career in 2008 at Marathon Oil where she gained valuable experience in reservoir engineering, production engineering, and business development in the Bakken, SCOOP, STACK, and DJ Basins. Kimberly was an integral part of the initial development of Marathon’s Bakken assets and was the lead reservoir engineer on the subsurface team that created Marathon’s STACK position. Kimberly graduated from Texas A&M University in 2008 with a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering and is a registered professional engineer in the state of Oklahoma.
Phil has 13 years of Geologic experience primarily focused on exploration and development efforts of on-shore U.S. resource play concepts. Prior to joining Red Wolf in March of 2019, Mr. Fox was Subsurface Supervisor at Marathon Oil Corporation where he utilized his geological and petrophysical abilities to successfully evaluate and develop their Oklahoma assets. Phil played a critical role in Marathon’s initial evaluation and testing of the Lower Mississippian STACK intervals. He also managed a multidisciplinary team of SCOOP engineers and geoscientists who drilled top-tier Woodford, Mississippian, and Springer wells and added significant inventory through creative acquisitions and trades. Before working at Marathon Oil, Phil served as a Geologist for Chesapeake Energy where he assisted in their efforts to develop horizontal concepts in the Fort Worth and Powder River Basins. Phil began his professional career at SAIC where served as Field Geologist and Field Manager for several of their environmental projects in the state of Ohio. Mr. Fox holds a master’s and bachelor’s degree in Geology from The University of Akron, Ohio.
